Lincoln, NE – Nebraskans interested in helping reduce the problems associated with tobacco use in Nebraska now have a new tool to help them in the effort: a completely renovated tobacco prevention and reduction home on the web. The new website comes just in time for World No Tobacco Day, May 31.

Health Education Inc., which has been online since 1998, is launching a totally renovated website, http://www.healtheducation.org, with tools and resources to engage Nebraskans border-to-border in the effort to promote a healthier Nebraska.

The new website offers the latest facts about tobacco use in Nebraska, what works for reducing tobacco use and ways to help reduce tobacco use in Nebraska.

At the website, Nebraskans can sign up for weekly blog updates on the latest news in reducing tobacco use in Nebraska; subscribe to a newsletter that shares the latest action in preventing tobacco use in Nebraska; and find out when tobacco use prevention awareness events are scheduled. Visitors can also find out how to connect with Health Education Inc. on Facebook and receive messages through Twitter.

The website is easy to use and provides Nebraskans a new way to add to reduce tobacco use in Nebraska.

For more than 30 years, Health Education Inc. has worked toward promoting the health of Nebraska. That work includes efforts to protect smoke-free air and to secure funding for tobacco control programs.
